    FEMA opens call center for National Flood Insurance Program policyholders and disaster survivors
    Today the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) launched a National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) call center pilot program to serve and support policyholders with the servicing of their claims.

    If you live in an area prone to hurricanes or tropical storms, emergency preparation is key. Even areas well away from the coastline can be threatened by flooding, high winds, and even tornadoes.

    Conservation Commission seeking members
    Saco's Conservation Commission is seeking members. The commission works to preserve and ebnhance the natural resources of the City of Saco and acts as an advisory body to the Planning Board and City Council.

    Commercial disposal of leaf and yard waste
    Notice to contractors: As of May 1, there will be a $5/yard disposal fee for all leaf and yard waste.

    Pedestrian bridge wins award from Associated General Contractors
    The Mill District Pedestrian Bridge was selected for a 2015 Build Maine Award by the Associated General Contractors of Maine.

    Somesville Bridge Replacement
    The Somesville Bridge spanning the Saco River between Pine Street in Biddeford and Market Street in Saco will be replaced beginning April 20. Construction is expected to last about a year.
