Moorings

Boat owners who wish to moor their boats in the coastal waters of the City must obtain a mooring permit from the City. Mooring permit applications must be renewed each year on or before March 15th, or the fee will be doubled. All moorings not registered by June 30th will be considered abandoned and cut loose and their locations reassigned, unless prior arrangements have been made with the Harbor Master. All moorings must be in by June 30th or their location will be reassigned according to waiting list priority. Mooring Permits are non-transferable.

New moorings must be approved by the Harbor Master before the application can be processed.

The fee for moorings is:

• $125.00 plus $10 application fee, which includes a biannual mooring inspection
• $25.00 for additional inspection visits
• $50.00 late fee (if after March 15)
• $25 initial fee for wait list, $10/year thereafter
