Camp Ellis - Ferry Beach - Bay View Evacuation Plan

The purpose of this plan is to establish procedures for the orderly movement of people from endangered or stricken areas to facilities in areas generally unaffected by the disaster or potentially safer from an impending emergency situation.

The major evacuation routes for Camp Ellis, Bay View and Ferry Beach will be:
A. All parties on the southerly side of Pond Avenue will evacuate by way of Ferry Road to Bay View Evacuation Dispatch Center (Camp Ellis Fire Station).

B. All parties on the northerly side of Pond Avenue will evacuate by way of Bay View to Bay View Evacuation Dispatch Center (Camp Ellis Fire Station).

C. When arriving at Bay View Evacuation Dispatch Center, all parties from the southerly side of Pond Avenue will be checked in and directed or transported to the Saco Community Center, 75 Franklin St.*

D. When arriving at Bay View Evacuation Dispatch Center, all parties from the northerly side of Pond Avenue will be checked in and directed or transported to the Saco Community Center, 75 Franklin St.*

This evacuation plan was made possible by a grant received from the Federal Emergency Management Agency in cooperation with Maine Emergency Management Agency and York County Emergency Management Agency. The National Hurricane Grant received in 1995-96 totaled $4,254, not including in-kind services provided by Public Works and the Fire Department.
