Mission Statement
The Human Resources Department will attract and retain qualified, productive, motivated and dedicated employees who will provide efficient and effective services to the citizens. The City recognizes that the City's employees are a considerable resource that requires investment to ensure that we have the talents and skills needed to meet the needs of the City.

The City of Saco employs approximately 165 full time employees and over 100 seasonal employees' who are committed to providing quality government services to their fellow citizens. These diverse jobs are some of the most challenging and satisfying in the job market today.

The City of Saco's Human Resources Department is located on third floor of Saco City Hall. We are proud of our employees who represent a cross section of the people in our community and believe that our employees are the City of Saco's greatest asset. *We are an equal opportunity employer.

The Human Resources department is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, support and guidance of our skilled workforce. We promote a safe and healthy work environment that is diverse and supports employees' best efforts. The department is responsible for development and implementing the City's personnel policies, collective bargaining, training, employee assistance program services, comprehensive benefits, risk assessment, and Workers Compensation. We offer these services in an empathetic, flexible, confidential, responsive, and professional manner.
