The City of Saco has an automated trash and recycling collection that uses carts collected by BBI Waste, Inc. The schedule for pickup days may be found by following this link. If you are having problems with your trash pickup, you may contact BBI at 934-3880. Please have trash and recyclables out by 6 a.m. to avoid being missed.

All non-recyclable household trash must be placed in the GREEN CART provided by the city in order to be collected. Trash that does not fit into the cart is considered overflow and will be left behind *. Extra overflow trash may be taken to the Recycling Center at 351 North Street, next to the Public Works Building. This may be done from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Residents may use their Transfer Station pass at a 1/4 of a yard per bag, or a charge of $5.00 is required for each standard size trash bag delivered to the recycle center.
* During the week immediately following Thanksgiving and Christmas, you may place up to two bags of "overflow" trash outside the cart for collection. This is the only time overflow trash will be collected.
