Send my money to Lewiston???
Many citizens called us when their first half tax bills arrived this past August. They wanted to know, why should I send my tax payment to Lewiston??? It is true, our new payment mailing address is a Post Office Box in Lewiston. But please be assured, your money is still getting to the City of Saco! In fact, your payment is getting to us faster than ever before.

Payments sent to the Lewiston address are processed by our bank at their automated lockbox payment processing service. Your money gets deposited the same day it is received. This is a big plus for the city's ability to earn interest, which creates revenues in addition to property taxes.

Also, by utilizing the lockbox service, our customer service representatives have fewer payments to enter manually - this means shorter lines for you at City Hall, as well as our ability to offer other services to you at City Hall.

So, please do not hesitate to send your next utility bill or tax payment to Lewiston. It is all part of our ongoing efforts to "Enhance our community through exceptional service." Tax and sewer payments, along with the bill payment stub, should be mailed to:

City of Saco
PO Box 15024
Lewiston, ME 04243-9574
