Experienced Staff Eager to Assist You
The Code Enforcement Office is eager to assist you in planning a successful building project. The staff is lead by Code Enforcement Officer Richard Lambert who has 26 years experience in building inspection and zoning. He holds a National Certification from the International Code Council in the areas of Zoning and Property Maintenance Codes.

Marcel Desrosiers, David Twomey, Karen Audie, Mark Mitchell & Dick Lambert
Sharing the duties is Assistant Code Enforcement Officers Mark Mitchell (19 years of experience), David Twomey (combined 29 years experience as a builder and code enforcement officer) and Marcel Desrosiers, Saco's Electrical Inspector with over 20 years experience as an electrician and inspector. Rounding out the department staff is Administrative Assistant Karen Audie. Karen has been with the department 2 years and with the City a total of 7 years. That's over 100 years of experience at your disposal!

One of the unique aspects of the Saco Code Enforcement Department is that all Codes Officers are cross trained in every aspect. That means that you can call on any one of us to review plans, inspect plumbing, building and even septic systems or give you advice on zoning matters. We all hold State Certifications in all areas of Code Enforcement and are active in our state and national professional associations.

We urge you to contact us for a pre-planning meeting to discuss your upcoming building project. We can assist you in making sure that your plans will meet code requirements and that your building will be a safe place to live.
