All dog licenses expire on December 31st. Starting on October 15th, you can license your dog for the upcoming 2008 year. Please bring in a current Rabies Certificate.
Since the state has changed the guidelines for Rabies vaccinations from 2 years to 3 years, if your certificate doesn't reflect the additional year, you will need to get an updated copy from your veterinarian.
If this is a first time registration, and the dog has been Neutered or Spayed, please bring in the Certificate showing the dog has been altered as well as the Rabies Certificate.
The fees are as follows:
$6.00 for altered dog
$11.00 for unaltered dog
$42.00 for a Kennel with up to 10 dogs
If more than 10 dogs in a Kennel, an additional license fee of $42.00 will need to be paid.
All kennels will need to be inspected by the Animal Control Officer Garon Mailman each year.
Please contact Mr. Mailman at the Police Dept. 284-4535 to schedule an inspection time.
If your dog was licensed in 2007, and has since passed away, please contact the City Clerk's Office at 284-4831, so that we can remove your name from the records, so you won't receive a call from the Animal Control Officer in the Spring, inquiring as to why you have not licensed your dog.
