Below you'll find a list of recent additions to the City of Saco website, as well as some timely favorites:
- Road paving bond approved - now what?
Voters this month approved a $2.3million bond to repair roads around the city. If you want to know more about what this will mean in terms of road repairs, follow the link above.
- Affordable housing strategy
The city this fall commissioned a study of housing prices in the city and as a result, has develope a strategy for improving affordable housing. There will be a series of meetings to discuss the report. To get a copy of the report and to find out when the meetings will be held, follow the link above.
- Leaf collection
Leaf collection begins the week of Nov. 16. For details, follow the link above.
- Santa's coming!
Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their annual trip to the Central Fire station on Thanksgiving night. For details, see the link above.
- Changes in smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector laws
As of September, laws regarding the installation of smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors in multifamily and single family buildings have changed. For details, follow the link above.
- H1N1 updates
Saco's Office of Emergency Management has updated a list of helpful links regarding the H1N1 (Swine Flu) virus. This information is particularly timely given the current spread of the virus.
- Pay bills ONLINE, not INLINE
No one likes waiting in line, especially not to pay a bill. Don't forget, you can pay your city real estate and personal property tax bills online, as well as some utility bills. Just follow the link above.
