Making tax payments fit your budget

Many citizens ask us when they come in to pay their tax bill if the city has a payment plan that would be easier for them: more frequent payments but with smaller installments.

The city did field a test last fiscal year (July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011) of such a formal plan, and more information will be available soon about that for the coming fiscal year.

However, we just wanted to remind citizens that they can pay any amount on their tax bill at any time. You don't need to enter into any kind of payment plan at all!

It does not matter if the next tax bills are issued or not. We can apply any amount for your property taxes at any time of the year that you send or bring to us.

If it works better for you, please start paying right now on the coming new tax year. Include your property address, or your map and lot parcel ID, with your payment, and we will set that money into a prepayment account for you. Then, when the tax bills are issued, any payments you have made will apply as credits.

So, please do not hesitate to send whatever amount works best for your budget. The city's address appears below:
