Absentee ballots

Absentee Ballots for the November 8, 2011 General/Referendum Election will be available at the beginning of October.

Ways to request an absentee ballot:

  • Telephone at 284-4831
  • In-person during normal business hours:
    • Mon-Th. 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. & Fri 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Written absentee ballot application by:
    • Voter
    • Voter's Immediate Family/Domestic Partner
    • Voter with a 3rd Person Designated - Ballot must be witnessed by 1 notary, 1 municipal clerk, 1 clerk of courts or 2 other individuals. Only the 3rd person named in the request or the voter are allowed to return the ballot.
  • Download the application from the City Clerk's Dept.- Elections page and mail the completed application to: City Clerk, 300 Main St., Saco, ME. 04072
  • E-mail request - If you wish to request an absentee ballot electronically you must do so at this link. Only electronic applications submitted through this site will be honored.
Assisting Voters in Marking Ballots - If a person aides the voter in marking the ballot, the aide signs the statement on the envelope saying that they aided the voter & the envelope must have 1 other witness sign.
