  • Congratulations to recent CJA grads
    Two Saco police officers have recently graduated from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. Theodore Gagnon and Jeremy Webber recently completed the 18-week academy and returned to Saco with top honors. For more follow the link above.

  • Cleaning up after the holidays
    The gifts are opened and the relatives gone. Now what? Start the New Year in a green way by recycling your holiday wrappings and disposing of your Christmas tree properly.

  • Saco's fire station wins a design award!
    The city's new Central Fire Station on North Street was featured in Fire Chief Magazine's 2011 Station Style Design Awards. For more details, follow the link above.

  • FAQ of the month: Does the city provide sand or salt to residents?

    Answer: The city provides a sand-salt mix to residents in increments of 5 gallon pails. We do not allow residents to use sand or salt from our stockpiles. The city does not sell products to residents.

    For our French-speaking citizens and visitors, we have translated the City's Frequently Asked Questions into that language for easier viewing. This was the work of a senior volunteer who taught French for many years. To view the results, simply follow the link above.
