  • Helpful neighbors
    A pair of watchful Willow Avenue residents have been awarded Saco Challenge Coins for their role in capturing a burglar. For more on this story and other examples of Saco residents helping each other, see the Police Department/s Challenge Coin collection.

  • Electrical Code input sought
    The Code Enforcement Department is preparing to adopt the 2011 National Electrical Code and is seeking input from electricians, allied trades and other interested parties. For details, follow the link above.

  • Economic Development plan updated
    The strategic economic development plan released in 2010 has been updated. You can download the latest version by following the link above.

  • FAQ of the month: Trash collection: What should I do if my recyclables weren't picked up?

    Answer: You should first call BBI Waste Industries at 934-3880 to see if there is a reason your recyclables weren't picked up. You can drop off your recyclables at the Recycling Center yourself if you missed the pick up. The Center is located at 351 North Street and the hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    For our French-speaking citizens and visitors, we have translated the City's Frequently Asked Questions into that language for easier viewing. This was the work of a senior volunteer who taught French for many years. To view the results, simply follow the link above.

  • Pay bills ONLINE, not INLINE
    No one likes waiting in line, especially not to pay a bill. Don't forget, you can pay your city real estate and personal property tax bills online, as well as some utility bills. Just follow the link above.
