You can download the latest version now by by following this link. 01/21/12 Homestead exemption on tax bills Please note that the homestead exemption printed on property tax bills was placed in an incorrect box in the 2012 bills. The 2010 Annual Report may now be downloaded from our archives section. 06/23/11 Saco receives 7th Certificate of Excellence Award The national award, given by the Association of Government Accountants, recognizes the city's efforts to communicate with and be held accountable to its citizens. 06/07/11 Saco joins loan program that offers smart way to finance home energy improvements Saco is taking part in the PACE Loan program, which allows homeowners to borrow money at competitive rates to make energy improvements. 04/13/11 Saco congratulates two employees at 25th year mark The City of Saco would like to congratulate two of its long-time employees as they celebrate their 25th anniversaries working for the city. 04/06/11 Comprehensive Plan approved The City Council approved a revised Comprehensive Plan on March 7. The final plan may be viewed in the archive section of the website. 03/24/11 Budget presentation, schedule The budget process has begun. For a brief presentation on the Fiscal Year 2012 budget and a schedule of hearings, see the Budget Page. 03/24/11 City of Saco plans move to new tax due dates for the coming year The City of Saco is considering changing the due dates for property tax payment for the coming fiscal year by one month to August 2011 (from September 2011) and February 2012 (from March 2012). The new due dates are intended to improve cash flow for operating expenses and should minimize borrowing that must be done throughout the year.
