There will be a Public Hearing on May 5, 2008 on the City of Saco's Municipal, School and Capital Improvement Budgets. This special meeting will be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 300 Main Street at 7:00 p.m. You may download a summary of the proposed budgets by following this link. You may qualify for a refund of up to $2,000. For more information, follow this link. 08/08/07 Attention travelers! The City of Saco soon will be authorized to accept passport applications at City Hall. Our anticipated start date is late February or early March. For a schedule of budget hearings and background information on the budget, follow this link. 03/17/08 Proposed regional school unit wards with existing wards 02/06/08 Computer and powerpoint grant received Saco and Biddeford Savings Institution has made a generous donation of a laptop computer, powerpoint software and a digital camera system to the Office of Emergency Management. 01/24/08 Homeland Security Training Grant received The cities of Saco and Biddeford were recently awarded a United States Department of Homeland Security Grant in excess of $25,000. 01/24/08 City releases citizen centric report for 2007 The city has released the 2007 Citizen Centric finance report. This is an easy to understand report that summarizes the city's finances. You may download the report by following this link. 01/22/08 City changes to Single Sort Recycling Beginning in January, residents will put ALL of their recyclables into the brown cart. There will be no need to separate paper from cans, bottles or plastics.
