Mill Brook Business Park Readies for Sales

The newest business park in Maine is now ready for occupancy in Saco. The Mill Brook Business Park, off Route 1, opposite Spring Hill Road and Vacationland Bowling, contains 10 lots ranging from 2 to 8 usable acres.
The park offers fully serviced lots along a winding road and a beautiful landscaped entrance. At the rear of the park few parking spaces and a gravel trail offer access to the Eastern Trail.
The City sells the lots to expanding and relocating companies. The uses and the appearance of the buildings are regulated by covenants administered by the Economic Development Commission.
Contractor R.J. Grondin is far ahead of schedule and has nearly completed the project. The $2.3 million project is funded, in part, from an $800,000 grant from the federal Economic Development Administration, and from TIF funds and lot sales.
This is the fifth phase of industrial park development by the City in the last 30 years. The City developed the strategy of building industrial parks to diversify the employment base and tax base after the decline of the mills.
