Shaker Exhibition Extended At Saco Museum Simple Gifts - The Alfred Shakers 1783 - 1931 , at the Saco Museum, has been extended to November 11, because of the high level of visitation. The exhibition brings together some of the most celebrated pieces from the Alfred community using over 100 historic images, drawings, furniture, decorative and functional home accessories, and fancy goods to explore all aspects of Shaker community life. The Saco Museum gift shop is carrying numerous Shaker gift items, including herbs and teas. The exhibit will be on view at 371 Main Street Museum hours: Noon - 4 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday, and Thursday evening until 8 p.m. For more information, contact the Saco Museum at (207) 283 - 3861 ext. 114 or at: www.sacomuseum.org. |
