What's new on the website?
Below you'll find a list of recent additions to the City of Saco website, as well as some timely favorites:
- Parks and Rec Department
There's always lots happening at the Parks & Rec Department. Coming soon are adult and senior activites at the Open Door. Check in to see what's coming up for winter activities.
- Election results
If you'd like to see the results from the Nov. 4 general election and for elections headed back several years, just head over to our archives section.
- Old Man Winter coming
Brrrr.... cold weather is knocking on the door. Soon we'll be battling snowy roads and driveways. For information on parking bans, plowing information and how to protect your mailbox from damage, head over to the Winter Operations page.
- 'Tis the season...
To be disposing of trash. Yes, the holidays are upon us and with that all the issues that arise from a sudden increase in trash and changes in collection schedules. For information on holiday pickup schedules and how to handle excess trash, head on over to the Household Trash Collection page.
- Or perhaps you can reduce your trash
You don't necessarily have to generate a lot of extra waste this season. For tips on environmentally sound gift giving and wrapping, see Sarah Wojcoski's article in the recycling articles section.
- And speaking of recycling...
There's no better place to do it than at the Saco Swap Shop. This online forum is a great place to post items you want to get rid of for free, or to pick up an item. It's all free and a great way to keep stuff out of the dump. This month, we've got some windows, a 17-inch television and a possible 4000HP generator.
