What's new on the website?
Below you'll find a list of recent additions to the City of Saco website, as well as some timely favorites:
  • It's budget season
    Between now and May 4, the city council will be discussing the budget for Fiscal Year 2010. To find out more, see the budget page.

  • Finding Documents
    Looking for city council, planning board or other minutes? How about annual reports? These and many other documents can be found in the city's new "Find-A_Doc" system. Here you can browse through documents organized by department, or simply enter a search term. To give it a try, just go to Find-A-Doc.

  • Challenge Coins
    Members of the Police Department are now recognizing Good Samaritan acts by awarding "Challenge Coins" to Saco's citizens who go out of their way to help others. To read about the latest recipients, see the story.

  • Roads posted
    You know spring is here when the bright orange "Weight Limited" signs go up. For a complete list of roads that have been posted with weight restrictions, see the Road Postings page.

  • Wastewater Treatment
    We know, you'd rather not think about what happens after you flush the toilet. But wastewater treatment is a critical part of the city's infrastructure and the Wastewater Department is always working to keep the system updated. To learn more see the Wastewater Treatment page.

  • It's flood season
    Along with warming temperatures and chirping birds, some melting snow and spring rains, which can lead to flooding. Preparation, especially for people who live in flood zones, is critical to weathering this season. For tips on dealing with spring floods, see the Emergency Management department.
