What's new on the website?
Below you'll find a list of recent additions to the City of Saco website, as well as some timely favorites:
- It's election time
There will be a general election on Tuesday, Nov. 3. At the local level, we'll be voting on mayoral and council candidates, as well a local referendum question. There will also be some state questions that will need decisions. For information about polling places and times, voter registration and sample ballots, see the election page.
- Turbine data feed down
The mechanism which sends operation data from the wind turbine at the Saco Transportation Center is temporarily out of order. We're working to get this fixed as soon as possible, but until then, we will not have regular updates of data.
- Pesticide updates
There are several new laws in place regarding pesticide application, disposal options and notification when pesticides are used near your home. For more information see the home page for links to these articles.
- "Circuit breaker" applications
The State of Maine is no longer mailing applications for residents who wish to apply for the "Circuit Break" program which provides property tax and rent relief for eligible resident. You can, however, download an application from the state's website.
- Pay bills ONLINE, not INLINE
No one likes waiting in line, especially not to pay a bill. Don't forget, you can pay your city real estate and personal property tax bills online, as well as some utility bills. Just follow the link above.
- Children's playset, FREE
Don't forget to check out the online Swap Shop, a great place to get free stuff. This month there's a molded plastic children's playset, suitable for younger children, indoor or outdoor use.
