What's new on the website?
Below you'll find a list of recent additions to the City of Saco website, as well as some timely favorites:
  • Voters approve fire station bond
    Voters last month approved a $5.9 million bond that will be used to build a new central fire station on North Street. You can stay up to date on the station's progress by visiting this page.

  • Household Hazardous Waste Days
    Beginning in May, Biddeford, Saco and Scarborough will conduct three household hazardous waste drop off days. These are days when you can bring certain wastes to be disposed of safely and for free. To learn more about this, Follow this link.

  • Signs of spring
    An even surer sign of spring than the first robin is the posting of roads against heavy traffic. Postings have gone up for roads around the city. Follow this link to see the full list. We will update this page once postings are lifted.

  • ATM giving away money
    The honesty of Saco's citizenry was confirmed last month after an ATM patron discovered that the machine she was using had given her $50 from another person's account. Read more.

  • The Assessing Department
    This month's featured department is the Assessing Department, the folks responsible for dealing with property taxes. There's a lot you can learn on their page about how taxes are calculated, as well as how you can save some money on your tax bill. Check them out.

  • Pay bills ONLINE, not INLINE
    No one likes waiting in line, especially not to pay a bill. Don't forget, you can pay your city real estate and personal property tax bills online, as well as some utility bills. Just follow the link above.

  • Free Cross Country Skis
    Granted, this wasn't a great winter for cross country skiing. But next year will be better, right? In that case, this is a great opportunity to get ready -- there's a free pair in the Saco Swap Shop. Just follow this link..
