Patriot's Day Storm - Debris pickup
Return to Patriot's Day Storm home page
The City of Saco will be picking up brush and branches on the roadside from recently storm damaged trees. All brush must be stacked beside the road and not extend into the road or over the sidewalk. This pick up will start on Monday, April 23rd and completed over the next two weeks ending on May 3rd, although we are asking all items to be placed no later than April 27th. There will be no reimbursement for outside private contractors picking up brush and storm damage. If you have any questions about this brush and branch pick up program, please contact the Saco Parks Department at 283-3139.
Along with the brush removal the City will also be providing a pick up for Storm debris household items. This is not a "Spring Clean Up service, we will only be picking up items directly effected by the storm. Please be respectful to our City employees who will be working diligently helping out those effected by this storm. Any unrelated items brought to the curb will be left and the household will be cited as being non compliant. These items can be placed separately from the brush at the curb.
In addition to the curbside pick up, both brush/branches and storm debris will be accepted at the Transfer site free of charge until Saturday May 5th. Again, these items need to be separated and any non related storm items will be charged at the normal transfer station rate.
