Patriot's Day Storm: Cleanup/relief begins
Disaster relief efforts efforts are underway in the City of Saco. We are working with county, state and federal officials to bring assistance to our community as quickly as possible.
Federal Emergency Management officials (FEMA) have toured Saco and other disaster-stricken areas of the state. When the area receives an official presidential disaster declaration, FEMA will establish a hotline for disaster assistance. For more information go to www.fema.gov.
We ask for your patience and your consideration of your neighbors and others in this state who have also been victims of this storm. We encourage you to use the following process as you begin the recovery process:
- Contact your homeowner or rental insurance provider to begin the claim process;
- If you need immediate assistance such as food, clothing, clothing, lodging or cleanup supplies please contact the following:
Shawna Chigro-Rogers
Director of Community Support
Phone: (207) 874-1192 ext.106
