Winter Storm Warning (1/19/19)
A winter storm warning is in effect for this evening and Sunday. Saco’s Emergency Management Team will be monitoring the winter storm this weekend. There is the potential for mixed precipitation and significant snow accumulation in Saco.

There is an elevated risk for flooding and coastal erosion, and possible power outages due to high wind gusts. Power outage preparation tips are available on the Ready.gov website that may be helpful as you prepare for this storm.

During prolonged power outages, the Saco Transportation Center, located at 138 Main Street, is available from 5:05 AM – 11:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, as a great location to keep warm, charge electronic devices, and use the restroom.

A winter storm warning has been posted for Saco. Saco’s Emergency Management Team will continue to monitor the winter storm for Wednesday evening into Thursday. There is the potential for as much as 12 inches of snow or more in Saco. There is an elevated risk for splash over and beach erosion, and possible power outages due to high wind gusts. Power outage preparation tips are available on the Ready.Gov website that may be helpful as you prepare for this storm. During prolonged power outages, the Saco Transportation Center, located at 138 Main Street, is available from 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM as a great location to keep warm, charge electronic devices, and use the restroom. 

Coastal storm on Friday into Saturday (03/01/2018)

Saco’s Emergency Management Team will continue to monitor the coastal storm for Friday into Saturday. There is the potential for flooding and possible power outages due to high wind gusts.
