WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT? 
The Human Resources department is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, support and guidance of our skilled workforce. We promote a safe and healthy work environment that is diverse and supports employees' best efforts. The department is responsible for developing and implementing the City's personnel policies, collective bargaining, training, employee assistance program services, comprehensive benefits, risk assessment, and Workers Compensation.
