Goosefare Brook Watershed Management Plan
The Final Goosefare Brook WBMP was completed and accepted by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MDEP) in May 2016. The WBMP outlines a long-range plan over a 15-year period to implement structural and non-structural storm water retrofit / enhancement measures to improve Goosefare Brook’s water quality and aquatic habitat to attain Class B standards. With the MDEP and City acceptance of the Final Goosefare Brook WBMP, the City has begun the implementation phase of the project.

GOOSEFARE BROOK RESTORATION COMMITTEE (GBRC)
As part of the Goosefare Brook Watershed-Based Management Plan, an Ad Hoc Goosefare Brook Restoration Committee (GBRC) has been created. The GBRC serves as a steering committee for the implementation of the Watershed-Based Management Plan. The GBRC contains seven to nine members with representation from each community, as well as stakeholders in the watershed. Beginning in 2017, the GBRC meets two or three times per year.
