Sewer overflow response plan

The Sewer Overflow Response Plan (SORP) is designed to ensure that every report of a confirmed sewage overflow is immediately dispatched to the appropriate crews so that the effects of the overflow can be minimized with respect to impacts to public health and adverse effects on beneficial uses and water quality of surface waters and customer service. The SORP further includes provisions to ensure safety pursuant to the directions provided by the CSO Master Plan and Department of Public Works Confirmed Space Entry training and that notification and reporting is made to the appropriate local, state and federal authorities.
